After a long and rainy month, I can now officially say happy summer! And I hope that where ever you are in the world, that you're going to have a great one.
It's that time of the year to discard our study notes, and welcome the sunny rays with open arms (and quite literally, too). I feel like in our everyday lives, our mindset is always go-go-go, never really coming to a complete stop. Even when we unwind; take a steamy bubble bath, read a novel, do a hobby, go online, we are still doing something. It might not seem that way, but we are.
To this minute, I'm constantly writing a list of things to do in my head. Things both exciting and not so much, like summer festivals with friends, as well as dealing with life's occurrences.
But when was the last time we took a few minutes, sat down, and simply focused on nothing but our breathing?
For the past week, I've taken around 10 minutes out of my day to press that pause button on life, and to cherish the little things. For example, if it's a warm day, I will sit (or lie down) on the grass, look up, and listen to the birds, or the leaves.
Writing this out I'm afraid this topic sounds kind of boring, and by now you're probably thinking, "But I seriously don't have time!".
The whole point I'm trying to get at, is that sometimes we all need a break from our thoughts and our tasks, and the only way to do that is to pause.
Have you ever felt so overwhelmed by life in general, that you felt you needed to pause? I'd love to hear your side of things!
